The Utah Jazz originally said that they weren’t going to even entertain the thought of trading away their biggest star, Donovan Mitchell.
But that seems to not be the case anymore, as inside reports suggest Utah is willing to hear offers from teams around the league for the star player.
However, don’t expect to see them move quickly on any potential package.
"The Knicks and the Jazz will reengage here at some point… The Jazz are not gonna necessarily move quickly… New York is motivated to get Donovan Mitchell but I think they're also motivated to not just give up everything to get him."

Adrian Wojnarowski was on ESPN talking about the New York Knicks acquiring Mitchell and he seemed optimistic that something was possible.
“The Knicks and the Jazz will reengage here at some point…The Jazz are not gonna necessarily move quickly…New York is motivated to get Donovan Mitchell but I think they’re also motivated to not just give up everything to get him,” Woj said.
Right now the Jazz are considering every potential trade and weighing their options.
They don’t want to rush this.
Making Music With The Jazz
If the Jazz decide to part ways with Mitchell, it will be only because they are positive they are getting a huge return on him.
It has been made clear that they will keep the superstar if they don’t get a package that really entices them.
That means the Knicks – or any other team – will need to pony up a lot, including players and picks.
He would be worth it though: Mitchell is the sort of player who can be a missing piece for several teams.
The Knicks are desperate to rebuild their franchise and they see Mitchell as a major part of that, alongside newly acquired point guard Jalen Brunson.
The question is: do they have what it takes to make it worth it for Utah?
