The Denver Nuggets are fresh off their first NBA title in franchise history after recently getting the best of Jimmy Butler and company in the NBA Finals.
Unfortunately for Denver, the front office has to get back to work quickly, with the 2023 NBA Draft set to take place on Thursday, followed by NBA free agency shortly after.
The Nuggets have already made a couple of trades using draft picks, which means the team is keeping busy and already preparing for their title defense next season.
Although the team’s roster is young, talented, and stacked, the Nuggets will likely lose some players this summer in free agency, with Bruce Brown potentially looking to cash in on the success he had in the NBA playoffs.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN via The Pat McAfee Show, Denver will likely lose Brown in free agency this summer.

Brown had a player option for the 2023-24 NBA season at $6.8 million and declined it to become an unrestricted free agent with hopes of signing a lucrative long-term deal.
The 26-year-old took his game to another level in the playoffs bumping his scoring average up to 12.0 points per game and proving to be a vital piece to the championship puzzle for Denver.
At this point in time, it is uncertain what the market is for Brown, but he’s definitely going to get some interest around the league and will be in for a considerable pay raise while also securing his long-term future in the league.
