We aren’t really sure what is next for Kemba Walker, currently of the Detroit Pistons.
Walker was traded to Detroit from the New York Knicks just a few months ago.
However, everyone knew he would be waived or traded from that team before 2022-23 starts.
But now we are just a few weeks away from the new season and he hasn’t moved to another franchise.
Pistons’ Kemba Walker will likely be away from the team as training camp opens this week, sources tell me and @JLEdwardsIII. Detroit will need to waive or trade a player by Oct. 17 to be at the league limit for standard roster spots going into the season.

As noted by Shams Charania, Walker will not be with the Pistons during training camp this week.
The team will have to waive or trade the player by October 17 in order to be at the NBA limit for standard roster spots going into the new season.
So, will Detroit get a deal done to get rid of Walker?
If so, where will he go?
Where Will Walker Wander To?
Things haven’t been going well for Walker lately.
The four-time All-Star used to put up double digits every night during his time with the Charlotte Hornets and Boston Celtics.
But when he was traded to the Knicks, Walker hit a serious speed bump.
He only averaged 11.6 points, 3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists during his 37 games with New York.
That led to the team benching him permanently and beginning the search for a trade suitor.
Now, Walker is sitting on the Pistons but he is trying to find a team that actually wants him.
Things didn’t work out in New York but he wasn’t the only one on that roster having a tough time.
There are many who feel that Walker still has a lot of talent and much he can give to a team willing to take the chance on him.
