Believe it or not, the drama around Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets still hasn’t been resolved.
It’s been a few weeks since Durant demanded a trade from his team and yet he still remains on the roster and their payroll.
For the first few days, some people thought a trade for Durant was imminent but now things have gotten awfully quiet.
I don't, but I also didn't believe Ben Simmons would go to camp with the 76ers and that dragged on until the trade deadline. https://t.co/zaWUiWtUnr

This led one Twitter user to asking NBA expert Keith Smith if he really saw KD starting next season for the Nets?
Smith’s response was simple: “I don’t, but I also didn’t believe Ben Simmons would go to camp with the 76ers and that dragged on until the trade deadline.”
So, will the Durant drama mimic the Simmons saga?
Staying In Brooklyn?
What are the chances that Durant starts the season in a Brooklyn jersey?
Not that high but it’s still possible.
However, one shouldn’t expect Durant to treat the situation like Simmons did: he is an older, more experienced player who has been much more of a team player throughout his career.
Plus, he saw just how much Simmons was thrashed by nearly everyone because of how he acted during his final months with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Durant will not want to suffer the same wrath.
In all likelihood, a deal is all the more possible the closer we get to the start of the season.
As the clock ticks down and opening tip-off looms larger, teams will start to go into overdrive to get what they want.
So we might be experiencing a quiet chapter in the story of Durant leaving Brooklyn but things will get loud and exciting again soon.
