The Boston Celtics have one of the best one-two punches in the NBA with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
Last season those two led the Celtics to the NBA Finals, before losing to the Golden State Warriors.
Many assume that Tatum and Brown will be Celtics for life, and will have many more championship runs.
But, one member of the duo did not seem committed to staying in Boston his whole career.
Brown recently commented on his future in Boston and seems far from committed to staying there.
Jaylen Brown on remaining in Boston long term:
“I don’t know. As long as I’m needed. It’s not up to me. We’ll see how they feel about me over time and I feel about them over time. Hopefully, whatever it is, it makes sense. But I will stay where I’m wanted. I will stay where I’m… pic.twitter.com/eDcyKaf91J

This was a surprising comment from Brown, but one that might not surprise some.
Brown has been a topic in trade discussions every time a star player becomes available.
Most recently he was discussed as being a part of a package in a potential Kevin Durant trade.
He’s sick of hearing his name in trade rumors every time a star becomes available

Brown might want to find a place that sees him as a long-term asset, and not a valuable trade piece.
Many Celtics fans are hoping Brown and the team can put this behind them and focus on winning this year.
Can we focus on winning a title. This team is shambles right now. I think the FO values JB. I think most teams might have traded him by now for some these superstars that have been available. I really hope he wins a title here.

But, if it does not work out long-term between the two, many teams will be lining up to acquire the All-Star forward.
One team that would most certainly be interested is his hometown Atlanta Hawks.
He’s a Hawks next year.

Brown was born in Marietta, Georgia.
He would most likely welcome the idea of returning to his home state.
It still seems like a long shot that Brown would ever leave the Celtics.
Their fanbase would be especially upset to see him leave.
Sounds like he’s leaving

But, we have seen crazier things happen in the NBA, and his comments make his leaving seem like a possibility.
