The NBA continues to try to improve its product, with the league being as progressive as ever, with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver leading the way.
As the league continues to learn from the success of international soccer, the NBA is implementing an in-season tournament, which has drawn mixed reactions as any drastic changes seem to do in professional sports.
On Wednesday, it was leaked by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN that the NBA’s In-Season Tournament Final Four would take place in December, with games set to be played in Las Vegas.
ESPN Sources: The NBA's new In-Season Tournament Final Four is set for December 7 and 9 in Las Vegas. Statistics will count for the league's regular season, except for the championship game of the event.

Looks like the league felt so bad for those 10 teams who haven’t won anything, like the clippers, to give them a chance to finally win something lol

There’s a lot of confusion among NBA fans as to what this tournament is and why the league felt the need to implement one, especially with all the talk about there already being too many games in the regular season.
Although it may be confusing at the moment, that will surely change when the league formally announces the details about the tournament this weekend during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Despite fans’ skepticism right now, there’s a decent chance this new direction the league is taking could turn out to be a hit in the same way that the Play-in Tournament has gone from being ridiculed to highly entertaining in only a few short years.
Only time will tell whether the league is on to something here or if it is a total bust that needs to get scrapped in a few years, but at least the NBA is trying new things and is willing to take the backlash in the meantime with hopes of it being a success in the future.NEXT: NBA Analyst Comments On The Celtics Losing Grant Williams
