The Los Angeles Lakers were dealt bad news yet again when it was announced that Anthony Davis had suffered a mid-foot sprain during Wednesday night’s win against the Utah Jazz and would be missing at least four weeks before being re-evaluated.

While the loss of Davis is always bad news, the truth is that this could have been a lot worse.
In many ways, the Lakers dodged a bullet.
But Lakers fans were definitely upset and made their opinions about Davis’ latest injury very well known on Twitter.
No AD Again
Followers of the Lakers were none too happy about losing the big man yet again, mostly because it feels like it’s something happens again and again during the season.

It’s true that this is the second major mishap that Davis has suffered this season, with the first injury costing him 17 games earlier in the season.
The apparent fragility of Davis has become something of a joke for many online.

The good news with Davis’ latest issue is that it will hopefully be solved in about four weeks, meaning he could be back before the regular season ends in April.
However, what will his absence do to the team in the meantime?
There is a chance that losing Davis will cause the Lakers to plummet again further down in the Western Conference standings.
This means they could be battling for their chance to even participate in the NBA play-in tournament, as one fan noted.
Anthony Davis will be ready in the play-in tournament. 🙏🏼

Some Lakers fans have had enough with the amount of time Davis misses due to injuries.
In fact, some are even calling for him to be traded, especially since no other team is willing to take Russell Westbrook and his monster contract.
Lakers gotta just trade Anthony Davis in the offseason. They got no other options. There’s no way they’re going to be able to move Russ’ contract. Even if they did, they not gon’ get shit for it.
This team is embarrassingly awful.

While there are a lot of positive thoughts and well wishes being sent Davis’ way right now, there are others who are just burned out by his injuries and his lack of time on the court.
