After games come to a conclusion in the California Classic in Sacramento and in Salt Lake City, the NBA Summer League will get into full swing this weekend, with some of the league’s talented young players set to put their skills on display in Las Vegas.
Usually, the annual event is a popular one for NBA fans regards of the talent that will be on the hardwood, as it can be a fun time in Las Vegas with a lot of the league’s best and brightest stars coming to watch and enjoy everything that comes with being in Sin City.
However, this summer’s event will be one for the books, with arguably the most hyped and anticipated player since LeBron James in 2003 set to make his debut on Friday.
No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs will dawn the silver and black for the first time on Friday since getting taken in the 2023 NBA Draft, making it a must-watch game for basketball fans.
According to the NBA’s public relations Twitter account, tickets for Friday’s games at the Thomas & Mack Center have been sold out in anticipation of Wembanyama’s debut.

Much like Spurs tickets throughout the 2023-24 NBA season, it comes as no surprise that Wembanyama’s debut would result in Friday’s tickets being sold out.
Even though these games don’t count and have no bearing on the upcoming NBA season, the pressure will be on right away for Wembanyama as he has to prove that his dominant play overseas was no fluke and that his game can transition to this league.
