We are coming up on the one-month mark of the NBA season.
There has been so much that has already happened and plenty of more storylines to continue following.
One is the job security of some head coaches.
Steve Nash was the first coach fired this season after the Brooklyn Nets let him go after only seven games.
But, what coaches might be next?
Here are two names whose jobs could be on the line if they do not turn things around.
1. Doc Rivers, Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers hired Doc Rivers back in 2020 with the idea that he could get them over the hump.
Under Brett Brown, the Sixers could not get to the Eastern Conference Finals despite having talented rosters.
But, Rivers has had the same problem.
Doc Rivers: "I think the turning point is coming anyway. You can feel it. You would like luck and health, but we're not going to have that for a while…the guys, you can just feel it. You can feel us starting to get to know each other, starting to get our rhythm."

Despite leading a team with Joel Embiid, James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, and Tobias Harris, Rivers has lost in the conference semifinals in back-to-back seasons.
This may be his final chance to show he can optimize the talent on this team.
Philadelphia has gotten off to a 5-7 start to the season, but if Rivers can not get a healthy Sixers team to the Eastern Conference Finals he will most likely be out.
2. Tom Thibodeau, New York Knicks
The New York Knicks are one of the most scrutinized teams in the NBA.
Their lack of success over the past decade has been alarming.
New York has had two winning seasons in the past ten years and the start of this season does not look promising.
Tom Thibodeau is supposed to be a defensive mastermind. This is the 2nd time in in 9 games we have given up 23+ threes in a game.

The Knicks have a record of 5-6 to start the year and head coach Tom Thibodeau has to be feeling the pressure to succeed.
No matter how your roster looks each season, improving in the win column is important.
Thibodeau has been unable to do that as a part of the Knicks.
In his first two seasons, the Knicks went from 41 wins to 37.
After a slow start to this year, the Knicks better pick it up.
If they can not get back to the playoffs as they did in 20-21, Thibodeau will be headed out the door.
