Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers is one of the best big men in the league and will definitely claim a place in the Hall of Fame someday.
But there are legions of people who say that he isn’t living up to his potential in LA.
It’s hard to not see that: Davis hasn’t played more than 50 games in a season since 2019-2020 and it feels like he has accumulated more injuries than votes for the All-Star Game.
Davis knows that he hasn’t been delivering as expected and he claims that the new season will be better.

NBA analyst and former player Kendrick Perkins thinks he could have one heck of a comeback season in 2022-23.
Speaking on ESPN, Perkins stated that Davis is about to have a season that puts him in conversation alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and other superior power forwards and centers in the league.
“Anthony Davis this season is going to remind the world of who the hell he is,” Perkins emphatically said.
Lakers fans sure hope that is the case because they are ready for Davis to look like his former self again.
An Energized AD
During his championship season, Davis was putting up 26.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.
His output has certainly dipped since then but it’s the injuries that have worried fans again and again.
Even with a change in conditioning and training, Davis still sat out a lot last season and didn’t look 100% even when he was suited up for games.
This has just led to more and more trash talk about him from critics and fans and analysts.
He has surely heard all of that and perhaps that is what will power him forward into the new year.
