Mitchell Robinson of the New York Knicks has been garnering a lot of attention over the last few days, and not for the best reasons.
Even though his Knicks are doing better than they have in some time and have a chance at a strong postseason, Robinson isn’t happy with how things are going.
He hopped on social media to post about being “tired of just being out there for cardio,” strongly suggesting that he wants to do more during games.
FanDuel TV NBA analyst and former player Chandler Parsons spoke about Robinson’s online complaints and said, “this is a sign of immaturity, this is selfish, this is him being a bad teammate.”

Parsons noted that the Knicks are finally having a good season and Robinson is complicating things by posting his feelings online.
It is true that Robinson’s output on the court has been limited lately.
In Tuesday night’s game, Robinson posted only 2 points.
In the games leading up to that, he was in the single digits although he did garner 14 rebounds on March 11.
The problem that Parsons and others have with the social media posting is that the team is doing well and Robinson should be trying to maintain that success.
Even if his minutes are limited and even if he’s not playing as prominently, the team is and he should be happy and excited about that.
His social media outburst is not something that a true team player would post.
Robinson will likely bite his tongue in the days and weeks ahead.
He will probably try to focus on ensuring the team keeps winning, even if he’s not completely satisfied with his role.
