The New Orleans Pelicans have two of the best players in the NBA: Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson.
Unfortunately, the team also has bad luck.
Both Ingram and Williamson have suffered injuries this season, which has severely limited their time together.
According to Will Guillory, Ingram and Williamson have only played 12 games together this season.
That fact, shared by NBACentral, shows just how serious the injuries to these two have been.
And the team’s fall from the top of the Western Conference standings without them only emphasizes the situation.

When the season began, there were many analysts and insiders who thought the Pelicans could go far into the playoffs this season.
Williamson was back and looking healthier than ever and Ingram had been leading the promising young team for the last season.
Things got off to a great start and Williamson averaged 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists a game on 60.8% from the field.
But injury struck – again – and he hasn’t played a game in months.
As for Ingram, he only played for a few weeks at the start of 2022-23 before he suffered his own injury and sat out until January.
The fact that these two athletes have had little time together has impacted the team in a major way.
Once the number-one seed in their conference with both stars, the Pelicans are now struggling to secure a play-in spot.
Williamson still isn’t back and Ingram is hurt again too.
The bad luck continues for the Pelicans and fans are thinking fondly of what could have been.
