The Denver Nuggets have done an outstanding job of putting their roster together.
They’ve assembled an elite team despite not having high draft picks except for Jamal Murray, who went No. 7 overall in 2016.
They’ve known how to make the most of that mid-round picks, also making impactful moves in free agency and via trade, such as adding Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and/or Aaron Gordon.
That was on full display again this season when they took Christian Braun out of Kansas with the No. 21 pick despite being a not-so-hyped prospect.
Christian Braun is already pretty good and he's going to have a huge role for the Nuggets next season. Denver will likely lose Bruce Brown, unless he takes a major discount. That'll open up even more minutes for Braun.

Braun has played himself into Mike Malone’s playoff rotation, and NBA analyst Keith Smith predicts he’s only going to have a bigger role as the years go by.
Smith explains that the Nuggets are likely to lose Bruce Brown unless he takes a major discount, which seems unlikely at this point in his career, so Braun will obviously have to pick up the slack on both ends of the floor.
While not the flashiest player, Braun has made winning plays on both ends of the floor throughout the entire season.
He’s an efficient scorer who has learned how to pick his spots and make the most of his touches, and his hustle on the defensive end of the floor is second to none.
It’s not about how high you were taken in the draft; it’s about knowing your role and doing what your team needs you to do.
He has a bright future ahead of him, and props to the Nuggets for another great pick.
