It’s time to respect the Dallas Cowboys‘ defense two games into their 2023 NFL campaign.
While there’s a long way to go in the regular season, they have the tools to make it tough on opponents.
They have ten sacks, 15 pass deflections, and five interceptions through Week 2.
Those numbers wouldn’t be possible without the inspiring effort of outside linebacker Micah Parsons on every snap.
Unfortunately, New York Jets offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett underestimated Parsons’ talent during their Week 2 encounter.
“We even underestimated his speed on the quick game. He is spectacular and somebody you have to look back and say, ‘Can you even do that?’ We looked back at the tape, corrected it, and saw how we could help ourselves out,” Hackett shared with reporters via BroBible NFL writer Dov Kleiman.

A little hard to believe an NFL team will "underestimated" arguably the best defensive player in the league.

Parsons dominated the Jets offensive line, tallying two sacks, four quarterback hits, and three tackles for losses.
At this rate, the Penn State product is on pace for 25.5 sacks, which would break the single-season sack record.
After Week 2, the Cowboys lead the league in total yards allowed and points allowed per game.
The Cowboys’ defense will try to impose their will against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3 despite Trevon Diggs’ absence.
