The Texas Rangers have certainly had a busy offseason, having added four viable starting pitchers to a rotation that desperately needed some help.
Texas acquired veteran swingman Jake Odorizzi from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for left-hander Kolby Allard.
But they weren’t done there.
They managed to sign Jacob deGrom, Andrew Heaney, and Nathan Eovaldi.
Eovaldi was recently introduced as the newest Ranger and got a chance to don his new Texas threads.
After his introductory press conference, Eovaldi stopped by MLB Network and caught up with reporter Alanna Rizzo, expressing excitement for the 2023 season and confidence that the Rangers rotation can compete with any lineup in baseball.
"The arms we have, we're going to be able to go out there and compete with any lineup…"

The Rangers had a big offseason prior to 2022, as they landed both Corey Seager and Marcus Semien.
However, that was not nearly enough to catapult them into contention for the first time in six years, as the pitching staff failed them.
But with their recent additions, Texas looks to be in a position to challenge the defending champion Houston Astros for supremacy in the American League West.
The team won just 68 games during the regular season and finished in fourth place in the division.
But with the addition of Eovaldi, they now have a pitcher with legitimate strikeout stuff and someone who can slot in next to both deGrom and left-hander Martin Perez, who enjoyed a breakout season in 2022.
And led by three-time World Series champion manager Bruce Bochy, the Rangers look prepared to take the next step.
