There is no doubt that the NBA is filled with some of the most talented players it has ever had.
The bar for greatness has continually been raised in the league and athletes have constantly met that high standard again and again.
This year, the Association is better and stronger than ever.
Last season, the most PPG by a player at the All-Star Break was Joel Embiid with 29.6 PPG.
This Season, there are EIGHT players averaging more than 29.6 PPG at the All-Star Break.

For example, at this point last season, the player with the most points per game was Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers with 29.6.
This season, there are now eight players who are averaging more than that, including Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, Embiid, and others.
Is this a sign that the defense in the league has gotten weaker recently?
Quite the opposite is true: this shows that the NBA is stacked more than ever before.
There are numerous players who are defending incredibly well but it’s hard to stop players like Gilgeous-Alexander, Lillard, and others when they start seemingly hitting all their shots.
Now the question is which of these superstar shooters will be able to go the furthest this season.
Some players listed above are on struggling teams, like James.
Others have a great chance of making it far into the postseason and possibly to the Finals, such as Tatum.
Together, they are constantly putting on scoring clinics nightly and giving NBA fans something to be very excited about.
