The Detroit Pistons have become the most talked-about team in the NBA, but obviously not for good reasons.
They’re currently riding the longest losing streak in NBA history at 28 games, and it doesn’t seem like they’re going to turn things around any time soon.
They were on the verge of putting an end to that streak by beating the league-leading Boston Celtics on Thursday night, but they ended up losing the game in overtime.
With that in mind, coach Monty Williams revealed his message for his team after such a tough loss (via HoopsHype).

Williams praised the way they continue to play with intensity and integrity, which is obviously something tough to do after everything they’ve been through this season.
In all honesty, if you watch this Pistons team, you can tell that they’re actually trying.
There are some sloppy basketball and coaching-related issues, but the young guys are leaving it all on the court night in and night out; it’s not a matter of effort.
The Pistons have a promising roster and some talented players, and Cade Cunningham has taken his game up a notch over the past couple of weeks, proving that he can be one of the most prominent guys in this game.
Even so, it just seems like this team is getting every opponent’s best effort, as it’s reached a point where no one wants to lose to them.
The only silver lining here is that this is going to shape their character once they get over the hump.
