When MLB stars go on historic runs, whether it has to do with home runs, hits, wins, strikeouts, walks, saves, or even stolen bases, it’s always fun for fans to watch.
It’s always a chance to see some history take place, which is fun for any fan in attendance or watching a game on TV.
Two players are currently on pace for elite seasons.
In the National League, Atlanta Braves slugger Ronald Acuna Jr. is on pace to finish with 35 home runs and 67 stolen bases, showing off his power and his speed.
In the American League, Oakland Athletics outfielder Esteury Ruiz is on pace to finish with more than 60 steals, a feat not accomplished since 2017.
On Twitter, MLB posted a graphic featuring these impressive stats and posed a question to fans regarding who will finish with more stolen bases.

Entering Tuesday’s slate of games, Ruiz has a total of 19 stolen bases.
Acuna has stolen 17 bases thus far.
The Braves slugger is having the better overall season, having already hit nine home runs and posting a batting average of .344, while Ruiz is hitting .269 with one homer.
But the two are neck and neck in the stolen base category and have been showing off their elite speed this season.
Both are on pace to finish with at least 60 stolen bases.
That feat has not been achieved since all the way back in 2017.
But with two stars both on pace for that mark, this should be a fun summer as we watch to see who will steal more bases.
