Brothers often look alike and have similar ways to approach things.
In the specific case of MLB pitchers Edwin and Alexis Diaz, they have nearly identical ways to stand while on the mound.
The league’s official Twitter account showed a clip of the New York Mets’ closer, Edwin; and the Cincinnati Reds’ rookie sensation, Alexis, getting ready to deliver a pitch.
You can see the resemblance rather easily.

Not only do they stand similarly, but their deliveries are nearly identical.
If there is a slight difference between the two brothers, it’s in the follow-through: Edwin finishes with a higher and more pronounced kick with his right leg, whereas Alexis’ movement is more subtle.
In any case, it’s amazing to wonder how and where they learned their pitching mechanics.
They must have fallen in the hands of the same instructor, because their pitching mechanics are very much the same.
The Diaz Brothers Are Dominating MLB
We know that Edwin is usually one of the most dominating relievers in MLB, with sky-high strikeout rates and low ERAs.
In 16 innings in 2022 so far, he has a microscopic 1.69 ERA and has fanned an incredible 30 hitters.
He has been the Mets’ closer ever since they acquired him in 2019, and while he has had a few blips, there is no denying his talent and bat-missing ability.
His brother, Alexis, made his MLB debut with the Reds this season, and has been extremely impressive so far.
In 17.1 frames, he has struck out 30 percent of the hitters he has faced, and has a ridiculously low 0.52 ERA so far.
The Diaz brothers are dominating in MLB, and their family has to be proud of what they have accomplished.
