Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is one of the most exciting and talented young players in all of baseball today.
The Toronto Blue Jays slugger has been a force to be reckoned with ever since he broke into the league.
The 23-year-old put up MVP-type numbers last year and is destined for greatness.
It’s been a bit of a struggle so far this season, as he’s hitting just .258, but the ability to mash home runs is in his blood.
In fact, according to MLB insider Hector Gomez on Twitter, Guerrero has actually matched his father, Vladimir Guerrero Sr. in a few categories, while some of their stats through their first 403 MLB games are completely identical.
Like father like son!
– Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has 87 home runs and a OBP .363 in his first 403 MLB career games.

Like Father, Like Son
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, but the fact that their home run totals and on-base percentages are identical through their first 403 games is pretty amazing.
Vlad Sr. was a great hitter in his own right, but he definitely passed it down to his son.
It’s always interesting to see father and son duos dominate over the course of their careers.
Of course, these two are never going to play together, with Vlad Sr. being retired at this point, but it’s amazing to see some of the nuances and similarities these two share.
Guerrero continues to match his dad and show the baseball world that he can mash home runs just as good as his father did in his day.
He’s already had some memorable moments of his own and more are sure to follow if he keeps hitting the way he can.
We’ll see how long it takes for Guerrero to match his dad in other categories.
