On Saturday night, the New York Yankees were forced to deal with some injury issues when third baseman Josh Donaldson made the last out in the top of the seventh inning.
The veteran slugger grounded out to Colorado Rockies shortstop Ezequiel Tovar to end the inning, but began to limp as he was running to first base.
Donaldson was serving as the Yankees designated hitter, and his spot in the lineup didn’t come up again after his groundout.
However, the Yankees are set to place Donaldson on the 10-day injured list.
Infielder Ozwald Peraza has been recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre.

Donaldson has not had a good season for the Yankees this year.
The veteran slugger and former MVP went 0-for-4 on Saturday at Coors Field, and his batting average dropped all the way down to .142.
The Yankees picked up Donaldson last season in a trade with the Minnesota Twins.
This year, he’s hit 10 home runs and driven in just 15, while posting a poor OPS of .659.
The 23-year-old Peraza is hitting just .188 on the season, but can play multiple positions in the infield and should serve as a utility piece while Donaldson recovers.
The Yankees ultimately won their game by a final score of 6-3 on Saturday night, evening the series with the Rockies out in Denver.
They’ll send Gerrit Cole to the mound on Sunday as they look for a series win following splitting the first two contests with the Rockies.
