Well, we are not quite there yet, as the MLB regular season starts on March 30.
However, training camps will open this week to fans’ delight.
Year after year, baseball fans wait until football is over to officially let the MLB fever kick in.
Of course, a considerable portion of sports fans in America just enjoy the best of both worlds, plus the hunt for postseason spots in the NBA.
MLB spring training will officially start on Wednesday for most teams, although there are some of them will open their camps on Thursday and the Cleveland Guardians will do it on Friday.
Spring training games will officially begin on Friday, February 24, with a pair of Cactus League games before all teams play in Cactus and Grapefruit League games on Saturday, February 25.
Of course, we will also get to enjoy the World Baseball Classic in the middle of the spring training schedule.
From March 8 to the 21, 20 teams will vie for the right to be called World Baseball Classic champions.
2023 will be packed with lots of baseball.
The Houston Astros will be looking to defend their MLB title, but they will find a lot more competition this time around, both in the American and the National League.
