Two developments related to MLB have occurred in recent days.
One, the growing anticipation for video game MLB The Show 2023 and its cover athlete, which is still unknown.
And two, the Carlos Correa saga: the star shortstop signed with the Minnesota Twins, but not before agreeing to contracts with the San Francisco Giants and the New York Mets only to see both pacts fall through due to concerns about a surgically-repaired ankle.
As we know, peoples’ creativity knows no limits.
Over the past few days, people have been designing informal covers for MLB The Show 23.
Julio Rodriguez, Albert Pujols, Aaron Judge, and other players have been among the most popular.
However, there is always space for memes and humor.

That has to be one of the funniest “covers” we have seen in recent memory, and believe us when we tell you we have seen enough:

People are saying Correa has been signed for a record $865 million this offseason if we add up the totals from his three contracts.
The Giants were the first ones to show faith in the player with a $350 million deal, but didn’t trust his ankle to hold up over the long term and didn’t proceed.
The Mets then signed him for $315 million, but similar concerns made an agreement impossible.
At long last, the Twins gave him $200 million with vesting options that could take the deal to $270 million, and he accepted.
We will always remember the offseason in which Correa signed for three different teams.
