More are certain to follow in the coming weeks for the Tigers’ young star.

Full Circle
The fact that Torkelson was born the same year Hill was drafted has to make Hill feel old, but it’s also a nice full circle moment for both players.
How many times is a player going to get a hit off of a pitcher that was drafted the same year he was born?
This is a rare occurrence.
But Torkelson’s career is just getting started, and soon he’ll have many more hits, possibly some that will come off of other veteran pitchers who have been around for some time.
Still, it’s always nice to have a full circle moment in sports, especially in baseball when a guy gets his first Major League hit.
This is one that Torkelson will remember for the rest of his life, and the fact that he got to do it in front of the home fans in Detroit makes it that much more special.
The baseball world will watch Torkelson’s career with great interest as he prepares to embark on an unforgettable journey.
