Spring training is just around the corner!
Fear not, baseball fans.
It’s been a long winter, but we will soon see some MLB action.
On Thursday, Major League Baseball announced some important dates for spring training.
Before too long, pitchers and catchers will report to camp and teams will have their first workouts of the spring.
Soon, we can say goodbye to winter and get ready to go for the 2023 baseball season.
On Twitter, Bob Nightengale of USA Today retweeted the message that revealed when each team will first report and when their first full squad workouts will take place.
MLB releases the pitchers and catchers reporting dates for spring training. This will be the first full and uninterrupted spring training since 2019, with the WBC being played for the first time since 2017. https://t.co/6aMLATVLUW

MLB included an important memo in their announcement, that pitchers and catchers who will take part in the World Baseball Classic beginning in March will report on Monday, February 13, while position players who will be participating in the event will report to camp on Thursday, February 16.
Also worth noting is the fact that this will be the first uninterrupted spring training since 2019.
Spring camp started on time in 2020, but was put on hold when the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
In 2021, the start date was pushed back a few days as a result of COVID.
Then of course last season, spring training started late due to the MLB lockout, which put free agency and everything baseball-related on hold for nearly 100 days.
This spring, we won’t have to worry about any of that.
Let’s enjoy it, baseball fans!
