Almost a week has passed since the Carlos Correa ordeal was finally resolved.
After the San Francisco Giants and New York Mets backed out due to medical concerns, the Minnesota Twins swooped back in and put an end to the long-lasting saga.
Naturally, fans got tired of constantly hearing that negotiations had hit a snag but that the Mets were still favored to sign him.
But some had a little fun with it.
On Twitter, MLB analyst and writer Stephen J. Nesbitt summed up the saga by posting pictures of his baby after each deal was “signed”, and hilariously stated that “time flies when physicals are pending.”

Physicals were certainly pending for quite a long time.
An issue with Correa’s right ankle had been the cause of all the holdups.
But if you look at Nesbitt’s infant son, you can see the results of a long period of time when physicals are still pending.
This is a hilarious way to sum up the situation and show just how long and arduous it was for Correa, Scott Boras, and all teams involved.
Now, it’s finally over, and Nesbitt’s baby has grown through this whole process.
A lot took place over the course of just a month.
Correa signed three separate deals, only for two of them to fall through because of a failed physical.
But fortunately, that ordeal is behind us now and we can begin to shift our focus to the start of the 2023 season, which is right around the corner.
