One of the most underrated positions in the NFL is kicker.
Most fans act like kickers do not matter, until they need one to come through and win a game.
Each NFL team is faced with a time when they need a kick to either tie or win a game.
The pressure kickers face is immense and they are expected to be perfect.
One team that needed a new kicker was the Tennessee Titans.
They recently traded for veteran Nick Folk, who is now expected to serve as their kicker.
Folk spent the last four seasons as a member of the New England Patriots.
That means newly-acquired kicker Cade York will not start on the Titans’ active roster.
You never see a team carry more than one kicker on their roster, which is why York is headed to the practice squad.
According to The Tennessean, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said the practice squad will allow York to “develop.”

The Titans must feel strongly about what York can become later in his career.
He was a fourth-round draft pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns.
For a kicker to get selected that high goes to show what teams thought he could be.
People look at kickers and think they do not play a vital role on any team.
But, that could not be further from the case.
Kickers are important as they can make or break any game.
