The 2022 MLB All-Star Game, plus the festivities and events around it, were certainly interesting, entertaining, and exciting.
From the celebrity game, to the Futures Game, the Home Run Derby, and the game itself, the past few days have been a joy to watch for fans.
Players enjoyed themselves, visiting Los Angeles, chatting and joking around with each other, and even taking pictures with Academy Award-winning actors.
Trout is known as the best player of his generation, and that has been the case for years.
But Denzel Washington is something else, and Trout felt the need to take a picture with the accomplished actor.
Two of the G.O.A.Ts in their respective fields, Trout and Washington (who spoke about Jackie Robinson and his impact prior to the All-Star Game on Tuesday) shared a cool moment together.
“This is Mickey Mantle?” Washington yelled while checking Trout’s jersey, name, and number.

It was a hilarious interaction between two greats.
As a Twitter user said in the replies, “when Mike Trout asks YOU to take a picture with HIM, that’s how you know you’ve made it.”

Trout Has Been Stellar, Unlike The Angels
After a good first half on a individual level, but a lousy one for his team, Trout is ready for whatever comes in the second half.
He is slashing .270/.368/.599 with 24 home runs for the hapless Angels: terrific numbers, even by his standards, as he is showing he is still in his prime.
Not so much.
At 39-53, they are the fourth-ranked team in the AL West division, besting only the Oakland Athletics.
While they have a tiny chance of making the playoffs, realistically, we wouldn’t bet on it.
It would be a shame to watch Trout miss the postseason yet another time.
