The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team that everyone seems to be overlooking in the AFC.
That could be because their second-year quarterback Kenny Pickett is still unproven.
Last season, despite having some impressive moments, his overall numbers were not very good.
He completed 63.0% of his passes for 2,404 yards and seven touchdowns with nine interceptions.
But, as far as we can tell he has made substantial strides as a passer.
Pickett has looked strong in the preseason and big things are expected from him this season.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin sees Pickett growing his game in one substantial spot.
According to ProFootballTalk, Tomlin said: “The leadership things, the communication things, the bringing-people-together things.”
That is where Pickett has most improved.

The Steelers have committed to Pickett as their franchise signal-caller.
He was their first-round draft pick in 2022 with the idea that he could lead this team back to the promised land.
One thing about the Steelers is that they are always competitive.
Each season they seem to be in the playoff hunt, and that is in large part due to Tomlin.
His teams are always well-coached and ready to play each week.
Having to navigate through the AFC this season will be no easy task.
That conference is home to some of the best teams in football and has plenty of elite quarterbacks.
For the Steelers to make the playoffs, they will need Pickett to match the play of some of the top-tier guys.
It will be interesting to see what the 25-year-old looks like this upcoming season.
