The Atlanta Falcons have been a tough team to figure out during the 2023 NFL season as some weeks they look great and others they look like a team with several issues.
Case in point, the Falcons lost to the Carolina Panthers in Week 15 and it was their worst loss of the year as they only managed to score seven points.
Carolina has been by far and away the worst team in the league this year, though they scrapped hard to get a win over Atlanta.
The Falcons lost off a last-second field goal and now have fallen behind in the NFC South race.
It’s especially disappointing for Atlanta fans given all the offensive talent they’ve amassed the past few seasons.
In fact, Mike Greenberg of ESPN lamented the fact that the Falcons are wasting so much talent via his personal Twitter account.
“Hard to think any team has done less with more this year than the Falcons. I don’t care what the weather is, seven points against the Panthers is last straw sort of stuff,” Greenberg tweeted.

Head coach Arthur Smith has received plenty of criticism for how he’s utilized players like Kyle Pitts, Drake London, and Bijan Robinson and those critiques are only going to get louder after the loss to the Panthers.
Those three players are some of the most promising prospects at their respective positions and they feel severely underused in the offense.
If the Falcons suffer another embarrassing loss, it could be time for the organization to make some big changes in the offseason.
