The Boston Celtics have remained the best team in the NBA for the majority of the season.
Keeping that in mind, the Celtics were expected to dominate the Denver Nuggets in their recent matchup.
However, the 17-time NBA champions were handed a tough loss behind an incredible 32-point triple-double performance by none other than Nikola Jokic.
Considering that, Nuggets head coach Michael Malone didn’t hesitate to let the Celtics fanbase know about it.
“You’ve got to give the Celtics fans credit. They always come out strong. But you know what we say. They can take that L on the way out, baby,” Malone said.

Malone has built a reputation for speaking his mind about any team in the NBA without worrying about the consequences.
As for the Nuggets, they have improved their season record to 43-20 after the solid win over the Celtics and remain the third seed in the Western Conference.
Considering the Nuggets are just one game behind the top seed in the West, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they end up finishing as the best team in the conference when it’s all said and done.
The Nuggets are still the team to beat in the NBA until proven otherwise.
