The NBA’s CBA has made the league’s financial structure reach a bit of an odd point.
According to Michael Jordan’s former agent, David Falk, the current status of the league’s salaries is distorted.
In a recent interview with SiriusXM NBA Radio, Falk compared the NBA with soccer and made a case for the best players in the game to make even more money.
Should superstar players in the NBA be paid more?

He claims that guys like Stephen Curry and LeBron James should make north of $100 million per year — just like what happens in soccer — and stated that the only reason they don’t get that kind of money is because of the fact that the union has placed an artificial restriction on what they can make.
Per Falk, that’s also the reason why role players are getting paid that much money instead of $5 or $10 million.
The salary cap has been a topic of discussion for quite a while.
Other major tournaments in other sports don’t have that same kind of structure, so players can basically make as much money as someone is willing to pay them.
It’s crazy to think how much money some of the biggest names in the game could make if they had the same structure as soccer players.
How much would teams be willing to pay a prime LeBron James or Michael Jordan?
Fortunately for team owners, they’ll never have to answer that question.
