Even before he made it to the NBA, LeBron James was drawing comparisons to Michael Jordan.
He wore his same jersey number as a tribute, yet some Jordan fans took it as an offense.
Two decades later, their names continue to be tangled up in discussions, with each side making a case for their favorite player.
That was on full display again on Monday’s edition of Undisputed, as Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin praised James for doing something Jordan was never able to do.
Per the controversial wideout, Jordan was never able to put together a late group, rally together, and make a deep postseason run (via Lakers Daily).
"What LeBron did last year, Michael Jordan couldn't do, period. He couldn't take a late group, bring 'em together and take that group…to go on a run like that [to the Western Conference Finals]."

That might be true, but Jordan also did plenty of things LeBron never did.
For starters, the Washington Wizards didn’t trade half of their roster midseason, and Jordan rarely advocated for players being moved.
He also played 82 games despite having an injured knee and being in the second year of a comeback after being away from the game.
Jordan was able to come back from a second retirement and still averaged over 20 points per game.
Also, Jordan was swept in the playoffs twice but never in the Conference Finals, and he never lost an NBA Finals series either.
Comparing his situation to LeBron’s lacks context, plain and simple.
