The Dallas Cowboys are in desperate need of more playmakers on offense.
That could not have been more clear after their 19-12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional round.
In that game, they needed more explosive plays to be able to exploit the 49ers secondary.
But, after CeeDee Lamb, Dallas has no explosive playmakers.
One player they counted on to take a positive step this season was Michael Gallup.
After missing the first three games recovering from an ACL tear, he seemed to never really get going this year.
In 14 games, Gallup caught 39 passes for 424 yards and four touchdowns.
He seemed to lack speed and explosiveness in his game, and that all culminated in an abysmal performance against the 49ers.
Gallup was a non-factor in the game, he did not catch a pass, and one of the few times he was targeted the ball got intercepted.
This was the seventh game this season where #Cowboys WR Michael Gallup was held under 25 yards.

Before the season the Cowboys traded Amari Cooper and decided to re-sign Gallup to a five-year contract extension.
Through one season, it is clear that was a mistake.
Dallas might have to operate under the mindset that Gallup is no longer a WR2, instead, he is a good third option.
That is why adding another playmaker opposite of Lamb is crucial for the Cowboys this offseason.
The Cowboys knew they needed wide receiver help during the season but were unable to make a trade.
One player that piqued their interest was Houston Texans receiver Brandin Cooks.
Who is once again expected to be available for trade this offseason.
It will be interesting to see what the Cowboys decide to do at wide receiver, but they certainly need to look for improvements.
