Coming into the 2023 NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys were getting a lot of hype around the league for potentially having the best defense in the NFL, with superstar linebacker Micah Parsons aiming for NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
The Cowboys got the season started with a bang as they embarrassed the division-rival New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in Week 1 with a 40-0 shutout.
Parsons and company turned out to be an absolute nightmare for Daniel Jones and his squad, as they couldn’t do anything offensively and ended up starting the season in the worst way possible against a division rival.
Dallas continued their dominance in Week 2, as they were able to get the best of the Aaron Rodgers-less New York Jets at AT&T Stadium with relative ease, beating them, 30-10.
In the coming weeks, the Cowboys will have some tough matchups, as they’ll face the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Chargers, and Philadelphia Eagles before taking on the division-rival Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving Day.
The Commanders are currently undefeated, with wide receiver Jahan Dotson taking to Twitter to show off the team’s record, which prompted Parsons to respond.

By the time Thanksgiving rolls around on November 23, it’ll be interesting to see where these two NFC East teams are at, as the Cowboys could be rolling as one of the best teams in the league while the Commanders will try to keep a good thing going in 2023.
The showdown with the defending NFC champion Eagles on November 5 will definitely be a more highly anticipated matchup, but if the Commanders are the real deal, Thanksgiving Day could be a good matchup.
