For decades, the rivalry between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles has been one of the most heated ones in the NFC East.
Micah Parsons has emerged as one of the Cowboys’ brightest young stars, and in two NFL seasons he has earned two Pro Bowl and All-Pro first-team nods.
But on Sunday, he did something that drew the ire of the Cowboys’ rabid fans.
He attended Game 4 of the NBA’s Eastern Conference semifinals between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics in Pennsylvania, and he decided to wear the jersey of Sixers stud Tyrese Maxey.

The Sixers won the contest in overtime, 116-115, but fans wondered why he was wearing the jersey of a team that plays in the Eagles’ city.
Some feel that perhaps he secretly wants to play for the Eagles.
There has never been anyone who wants to be an Eagle more than Micah Parsons

Parsons attended Pennsylvania State University, and he is a native of Harrisburg, which is about two hours west of Philly.
As the No. 12 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, he helped reshape the Cowboys into a playoff team after a couple of dismal seasons.
The linebacker posted 13.0 sacks, 30 quarterback hits, and 20 tackles for loss as a rookie, earning the Defensive Rookie of the Year award, and he finished second in the Defensive Player of the Year award in both 2021 and 2022.
The Eagles, the defending NFC champs, have lost star running back Miles Sanders and standout defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, while Dallas has added cornerback Stephon Gilmore and wide receiver Brandin Cooks, which means Parson’s squad could very well finish first in the NFC East in 2023.
