Although the Dallas Cowboys have won three of their last four games, their season, for all intents and purposes, ended a while ago.
They got off to a 3-7 start, which effectively ended their hopes of making the playoffs, and they also lost starting quarterback Dak Prescott for the year to a hamstring injury.
They will soon have to undertake the unenviable task of filling out what is currently a top-heavy roster around Prescott, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and their defensive stars.
Their biggest star on defense is pass rusher Micah Parsons, who has one year left on his contract after this one, and there has been speculation about whether Dallas will give him a big contract extension or trade him.
Parsons said on his podcast that he wants to remain with the Cowboys.
“We’re gonna figure out a way for me to be a Cowboy for life,” he said.

Parsons has become a perennial candidate for the Defensive Player of the Year award, and in 10 games this season, he has 8.5 sacks, 19 quarterback hits and eight tackles for loss.
But despite having Parsons, cornerback Trevon Diggs and middle linebacker Eric Kendricks, among others, the Cowboys haven’t been able to put it all together and become a strong defensive unit.
Through Sunday, they rank 26th in total yards allowed and 29th in points given up, which comes in stark contrast to the stretches of dominant defense they played at times last year.
But on Sunday, they were able to stifle the Carolina Panthers by holding Carolina to 14 points and 235 total yards of offense in the win.
