To say that it’s been a disappointing season for the Miami Heat could be a bit of an understatement.
From struggling with health to them failing to make any big moves, things just haven’t gone their way at all this season.
Nonetheless, coach Erik Spoelstra continues to try and make the most of the hand he was given, regardless of how frustrating the season has been for the players and the coaching staff alike.
Notably, he continues to have the respect and admiration of his players, and he’s gone to great lengths to continue motivating and inspiring them through this complicated tenure.
According to a report by The Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson (Via Legion Hoops), Spoelstra has left several notes to the players in their lockers and has also shown them some clips from films to keep their motivation high through thick and thin.
Erik Spoelstra showed the Heat a video of Snoop Dogg, Eminem and 50 Cent at a young age to help motivate them through an "up and down" season.

Per the report, Spoelstra even showed them a video of Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, and Eminem and how they started and how their manager was the one rallying the troops, something that sat quite well with the locker room.
The Heat are currently sitting on a 41-37 record, which is far from what they’re used to at this point.
Spoelstra has used 24 different starting lineups, either because of injuries, adjustments, or even some desperation, but the team has lacked effort at times.
Even so, we’re talking about a well-coached team full of competitors, so they may not be who you want to come across in a seven-game series.
