Even though the New York Mets are out of the playoff hunt this year, that does not mean their players have nothing to play for.
Statistical milestones still matter for every player in the league.
One Mets star who is chasing a historic season is Francisco Lindor.
He is within striking distance of his first career 30/30 season.
Lindor has 26 home runs and 28 stolen bases on the year.
According to Anthony DiComo, there are only 11 games left in the season and Lindor is on pace for 28 home runs and 30 stolen bases.
With 11 games left, Francisco Lindor still has a shot at a 30-30 season, but he's going to need more power — quick. Lindor is on pace for 28 HR/30 SB.
Worth noting: He's hit 4 HR over an 11-game stretch multiple times this season. But Lindor hasn't gone deep in his last 59 PAs.

The Mets shortstop will need to have a power surge over the last 11 games.
He has not hit a home run in his last 59 plate appearances, which means he is due.
Even in a lost season for the Mets, Lindor has still posted up every day.
Many Mets fans questioned the signing after his first season in New York.
But he has since put together back-to-back strong years and is proving his worth.
Lindor is set to be a Met for many more years.
Back in 2021, he agreed to a 10-year deal with the Mets.
Now it seems like Lindor has settled in and will be putting up monster seasons for many years to come.
The Mets have a big offseason ahead of them, as it is time for their front office to put a team on the field that can compete for a World Series.
