The Las Vegas Raiders couldn’t get much going in a Week 9 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Then, after a back-and-forth fourth quarter to force overtime, the Raiders were in a position to leave with a tie.
Instead, they chose to go for a two-point conversion and failed.
After the defeat, superstar pass rusher Maxx Crosby took to social media to send the fans a message.
“Raider Nation I Love Y’all With Everything In My Heart & Soul. Y’all Deserve Better. Stay As One, It Will Change,” Crosby wrote on X.

Of course, it didn’t take long before that fueled speculation and rumors.
Some took it as a farewell, as if Crosby were hinting at a rebuilding project that would send him somewhere else before the NFL trade deadline.
Then again, as much sense as that could make for the organization, it doesn’t sound like a realistic possibility.
The Raiders have made it clear they have no intention of trading Crosby.
He also shut down rumors about his desire to leave, and he’s repeatedly stated that he would rather play for Las Vegas than join a contending team to chase a Super Bowl championship.
That being said, crazier and more surprising things have happened.
The Raiders’ season might essentially be over already, and trading their best player, who also happens to be one of the best edge rushers in the game, might be the better path to playoff contention.
For now, though, it seems like Crosby isn’t going anywhere.
