These days, baseball is becoming more of a technologically advanced game.
Certain devices can be used for developing game plans.
One such device that is used by pitchers and catchers is PitchCom.
This allows the pitcher and catcher to speak to each other and relay information about what pitch should be thrown.
PitchCom has become very popular, as pitchers all around the league are beginning to experiment with it.
However, Max Scherzer is not a fan of the PitchCom devices and prefers to not use it.
On Friday, the new Texas Rangers right-hander stopped by the MLB podcast “Foul Territory” and discussed why he doesn’t particularly love the PitchCom technology.

Scherzer discussed the issues with MLB insider Scott Braun and said that sometimes when he pushes a button to let his catcher know what pitch is coming, the message is not received properly.
He questioned whether or not he may receive a pitch clock violation for continuing to try sending a message through PitchCom.
Scherzer bluntly stated that to him, it does not make much sense.
Scherzer’s concerns are certainly valid.
When it comes time for the postseason, stadiums are going to be loud, and it will be hard to hear through PitchCom, which makes things that much more difficult.
PitchCom is designed to make communication between the pitcher and catcher easier.
However, Scherzer talked about the difficulties he has experienced with the devices and how they ultimately have affected him in his starts.
Scherzer made clear that he isn’t a fan of PitchCom.
