Max Christie of the Dallas Mavericks hasn’t been in the NBA for very long, but he has already made a slew of great memories.
But what is his favorite day of his young career?
That question was asked of Christie, and he had a brief and direct answer.
“It was when I got traded to the Mavericks,” Christie said, via MFFL on X.

As all fans remember, that day wasn’t too long ago.
Before mid-season in 2024-25, Christie played for the Los Angeles Lakers, where he averaged 5.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.0 assists.
Christie was rarely ever a starter, but he was becoming a fan favorite.
That all changed when the Lakers sent Christie to the Mavericks in the monster Luka Doncic trade that changed everything.
For Mavericks fans, that was a jaw-dropping moment that forever altered the franchise.
For Christie, it gave him a great opportunity.
Since coming to the Mavericks, he has started in 11 of his 32 games, producing 11.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists.
His numbers have bumped up quite a bit because Dallas has used him in ways that the Lakers weren’t and couldn’t.
Will he continue to be as productive in the new season?
With the addition of Cooper Flagg and the loss of Kyrie Irving, things are in flux in Dallas, and it’s not clear how much Christie will play.
But he is obviously very ready to keep making his mark with the Mavericks and thinks that bright days are ahead for him.
Christie is happy with where he is now and wants to make the most of it.
