The Dallas Mavericks are going through some changes.
The team did much better than expected last season and actually made the Western Conference Finals against the eventual champions, the Golden State Warriors.
And since the season ended, the Mavs have attempted to get even stronger in hope that their luck will be even better next year.

Two new players the team will have are veteran big men JaVale McGee and Christian Wood.
Both of these guys will be a central part of Dallas’ frontcourt and could radically alter and improve their chances of success.
Both of them were on hand for Monday night’s Summer League game, alongside Spencer Dinwiddie, who hasn’t spent much time with the Mavericks but has already made an impact.
Mavericks Moving Up
The additions of both McGee and Wood are bigger than some people think.
They might not be the largest names in the league but they are both terrific at what they do.
For years now, McGee has been a reliable big man who can come off the bench of even start games.
Wood has been working hard down in Houston and has started to become a massive threat both offensively and defensively too.
This will greatly improve the size of the Dallas team, which could work wonders on improving their defense.
Then you have Luka Doncic and Dinwiddie on the other end of the court, putting up wild twos and threes and leading the squad.
These latest players really fill out the roster even more, giving them more of an edge next season.
They will need it because with an improved Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers, the West is going to be much more talented.
