The Dallas Mavericks traded for Kyrie Irving last season in hopes of winning an NBA championship.
But following Irving’s addition to the team, the Mavericks lost their team chemistry and ended up finishing as the 11th seed in the Western Conference.
It obviously wasn’t enough to advance to the playoffs, and many believed that the Mavs may not offer a new contract to Kyrie Irving this offseason.
Moreover, several rumors suggested that Luka Doncic didn’t want to share the spotlight with Irving, but those rumors have long been put to bed, and a recent picture of the two stars via Hoop Central on Twitter shows the duo in the gym.

Kyrie and Luka are two of the best guards in the NBA right now.
Theoretically, they should be able to lead the Mavericks to great things, but only if they can build enough trust and chemistry between each other.
Last season, the duo didn’t have much time to train together, and as a result, the team collapsed in the second half of the regular season.
But ahead of the 2023-24 campaign, Doncic and Irving are seemingly putting in the work.
They are preparing to have a much better regular season this year.
While the primary goal for the team must be to qualify for the postseason, they ultimately hope to win it all this season.
Are the Mavericks legitimately one of the top contenders to win the NBA title?
Fans will find out as the new season begins in October.
