The Green Bay Packers are heading into a pivotal season.
They’re entering the third year of the Jordan Love era, and with so much competition in the NFC North, this could be the Packers’ opportunity to put their foot on the gas and showcase what they can do.
Little doubt remains about the potential firepower of this offense, but there have been some questions about how the defense will perform considering how depleted they are at some crucial positions.
Fans will get their first chance to see both units in action on Saturday night, along with special teams, as the Packers kick off their first preseason game against the New York Jets.
Rookies and players hoping to make the roster will jockey to get their moment in the sun, but it seems like Love and the starters will get some run, at least, according to Matt LaFleur’s latest comments.
As LaFleur mentioned via reporter Matt Schneidman on X, all four quarterbacks on the roster should get opportunities in this game.
LaFleur said he’ll do his best to give all four QBs meaningful reps in Saturday’s preseason opener against the Jets.

This includes Love, who could see a series or two to get back into the rhythm of the season.
Coaches around the league are employing different strategies with their starters, but the Packers can’t afford to be lethargic to start the regular season, and LaFleur knows it.
If the Packers want to be considered a front-runner for the NFC North title and a team to beat in the NFC as a whole, a strong start will go a long way in helping them get there.
