The Green Bay Packers couldn’t get anything going in their favor on Thursday night.
Following a field goal to open up, they allowed the Detroit Lions to score 27 unanswered points in the first half alone.
Dan Campbell’s team made most of their damage on the ground, with former Chicago Bears star David Montgomery rushing for a whopping 121 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries.
When asked about their struggles against the run, HC Matt LaFleur was evidently frustrated and infuriated, and he may have taken a shot at defensive coordinator Joe Barry, calling him out for always doing the same thing (via Eli Berkovits).
Matt Lafleur on the run defense.
"It’s insane to do the same things over and over again and expect a different result.”
Joe Barry still coaching this team in 2023 seems like a bad dream.

It seemed like Barry was on thin ice when he entered the season.
The Packers have an elite defensive unit, personnel-wise, but they’ve struggled to adjust and be at their best with him calling the shots.
As of now, the Packers are second-to-last in rushing yards allowed per game at 155.3, and that’s simply not going to get the job done.
They rank No. 22 in total yards allowed at 372, and that’s despite allowing the 10th-fewest passing yards per game (197.2).
The Packers have a date with the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football, and they’ll have more than enough time to make some adjustments to try and keep star RB Josh Jacobs away from the endzone.
