The Washington Commanders will look to keep their strong season going when they meet the slumping New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
The table is set for a big win for Dan Quinn’s team.
The Saints haven’t looked very competitive this season, and with Derek Carr most likely out for the year, their offense might find it tough to get it going.
On top of that, there will be plenty of additional motivation for one of the Commanders’ defensive stars.
In his latest media availability, the former Saints star didn’t shy away from controversy, stating that he was ready to show the Saints why they should’ve never traded him away (Via Ben Standig).
“They traded me away. I’m going back to show why they shouldn’t have,” Lattimore said.
No pretending from Marshon Lattimore. There is extra motivation facing the Saints in his Commanders debut.

Lattimore’s contract situation, history of injuries, and the Saints’ struggles made it an easy decision for them to move on from their star.
The Commanders knew they needed a bit of a punch for their secondary defense, and they went after one of the best veterans they could’ve found.
Clearly, it seems like Lattimore wanted to stay in the Big Easy for the long run, and while this is a part of the business, there are still some hard feelings there.
All signs point at the Saints most likely heading towards a rebuild, with Dennis Allen no longer there and some doubts about Carr’s future with the organization.
Marshon Lattimore, on the other hand, will have an opportunity to play meaningful games for an up-and-coming team with a star quarterback that should compete for years to come.
