Marcus Stroman is certainly no stranger to the hype and buildup of a new MLB season.

The star right-hander is now a member of the Chicago Cubs and is ready to lead the team’s pitching staff as they look to bounce back into postseason contention in 2022.

Stroman made his first start as Chicago Cub on Sunday as they played host to the Milwaukee Brewers to wrap up their three-game weekend series, and his debut went pretty well.

Stroman went five innings and allowed just one run while not factoring into the decision as the Cubs fell to the Brewers by the final score of 5-4.

However, a certain fan enjoyed watching Stroman’s official Cubs’ debut, tweeting a picture of himself doing so and ultimately getting a shoutout from the man himself.

Showing The Fans Some Love

This is nice to see.

It’s always great when fans show their players some love, but it’s even better when the players recognize that and shout out the fans in return.

Stroman is certainly well known for showing fans some appreciation and he put that on display yesterday after the game.

It’s nice to see him not letting the fame go to his head and showing appreciation for his biggest fans.

And this particular fan is a huge fan of Stroman, having several of Stroman’s jerseys hung up on his wall while he sported the new Cubs jersey.

Stroman sure seemed to appreciate this fan going all out to support him and it’s great to see.

Not every athlete interacts with their fans on social media, but Stroman is one who enjoys shouting fans out and giving them some recognition.

We’ll see if Stroman shouts anybody else out soon.
