The Chicago Cubs are yet another team that is currently playing very good baseball at the moment.
Chicago has won eight of their last 10 games and have now moved into third place in the weak National League Central division.
They sit only 3.5 games back of the surging Cincinnati Reds, who hold the top spot.
Leading the way for the Cubbies on Tuesday was veteran right-hander Marcus Stroman.
The Cubs ace gave the team seven shutout innings against the Pittsburgh Pirates, earning his ninth win of the season and lowering his ERA to an NL-best 2.28.
The right-hander has also won seven consecutive starts.
On Twitter, MLB posted a graphic featuring Stroman’s ERA after yet another dominant start.

Chicago had a busy offseason, signing stars such as Jameson Taillon, Cody Bellinger, Trey Mancini, and Dansby Swanson to strengthen their roster.
Now, it appears as though the pieces are starting to come together after an 88-loss season in 2022.
But it’s Stroman who has led the way for the Cubbies on the pitching side.
The 32-year-old is now 9-4 on the season.
In his start against the Pirates, Stroman allowed just five hits, walked one batter, and struck out five as he led the Cubs to another impressive victory.
Stroman’s ERA ranks third among qualified starters in all of baseball.
Bryce Elder, Justin Steele, Clayton Kershaw, Merrill Kelly, and others trail him in the National League.
The pieces appear to be coming together on the North Side of Chicago after another important Cubs win.
