Because he has made such a huge impact already, it’s wild to think that Luka Doncic has been with the Los Angeles Lakers for less than a year.
In fact, he is now enjoying his first training camp with the team.
Speaking to the press, Doncic spoke about his inaugural camp with the Lakers and said it’s a mix of difficulty and joy.
“Fun. Excitement. Hard,” Doncic said, according to Jovan Buha.

Training camp can go a long way toward creating strong chemistry among teammates, making this a hugely important moment for the Lakers.
As everyone vividly remembers, Doncic came to the team last season at the midway point.
Just like the rest of the NBA, he was shocked by his move from the Dallas Mavericks, and it took him time before he found his footing.
He still did a tremendous amount for the team, and he appears happy in Los Angeles.
Doncic is clearly committed, as made evident by his recent extension.
But there is no doubt that this training camp is going to improve his game and bond with the rest of the Lakers.
It will give him and everyone else opportunities to work on rotations, responsibilities, and their camaraderie.
This is even more vital because the Lakers are welcoming newcomers like Deandre Ayton and Marcus Smart.
It’s the perfect time for everyone to work together, have fun, and plan a path for the season ahead.
Training camp should be hard, but it should also remain exciting and fun.
It sounds like the entire event is very productive and promising for JJ Redick’s squad.
All of this is laying the groundwork for what may be Doncic’s biggest season ever.
